So I logged onto FB a little bit ago and of course they had a pop-up to read about their new privacy policy that they are implementing on January 1st, 2015.

Kept reading and they started talking about testing a "Buy" button in certain countries to help sales and promotion.

I am not sure how this will work but sounds like a lot easier than getting people to go to your link and then buy your product...

I guess we will see in the future if this feature makes it world wide on FB...

What do you think about the idea of a "Buy" button on FB to sell your products?

To me it seems like a great idea. Can't really think of any drawbacks to it to be honest. It makes for a better user experience and it should make it easier for marketers too, as they don't have to refer visitors to a landing page.
I'm actually surprised they haven't implemented it already with all the professional websites / shops having their own FB pages and such.

Any information about what type of payment methods they are planning on supporting?

I doubt they will do all that for free (may be initially) ...Just like someone said a while ago , these sites are like drug dealers , they will first hook you up for free and ones addicted , they will start charging you with your body parts ..

Facebook is trying to keep up with the rest of social media, seems like it's dying in a sense.

I know I don't really use it much for personal means anymore, everything has to come to an end eventually...

    Probably not anytime soon though.

It was in the news few months back. And it's the advertisers who get the option to add a buy button to the ad, with FB handling all the payment transactions. It will convert good since people will directly buy from an authority website, thus removing the need for a Landing page and then the offer page.
