2 billion? Seems a bit aggressive of a number, and perhaps just a way to scare off future like providers. Regardless, my hatred towards Facebook grows each and every day

Sucks if you're selling likes now then. It looks more of a case of when as opposed to if facebook come after you.

I think its good because fake likes are of no use, its just like boosting number. They will have to do a lot to make fb a Much better place for normal user.

It's likely just an isolated incident. Whereas, they are doing this for the sole purpose of scaring away individuals who sell likes.

I'd start packing up my bags, but that's just me, I don't want problems with the law. Especially if its gonna cost some serious amounts.

Craigslist did something similar a few years back and maybe still are doing the same thing. They sued guys that were creating PVAs and selling them for millions.

They won many of those suits and 2 against people I personally know.

When a big boy entity like that decides to chase you down it is tough as they have such a huge cache of money they are hard to defeat.

These are the boys that represented CL when I was aware of the stuff - http://www.perkinscoie.com/en/index.html

I do not know if that all still goes on as that is not my cup of tea but it is serious business.

Seems like a reasonable amount not. Why are they so greedy a little 100m would have been enough.

I guess they want all the profit from even them selling fake likes. It was cheaper for people to go to other sellers than creating ads on facebook to get likes, and even the ones they sent were fake.

Just another reason to work as a lawyer for Facebook it seems. That is a nice win against fake like sellers I have to admit.

Many page likes I got from paid FB ads did not seem like genuine users as their interaction on my page was very low .. so Facebook itself is selling fake likes, that's why they are perhaps pissed by sellers who're selling fake likes.

This but they will also make more money in ad revenue as well when people start to "buy" the likes from them instead.

Ahhhhhh the comedy. Facebook "likes" you get by paying them are just as bad and FAKE as the crap you get on Fiverr.

I just typed up a simple little guide so if any new comers are thinking about going into
a business like this they can at least play the cat and mouse game right.

While I know what Facebook's game is I still don't have any love for the guys. As of a matter
of fact their a bunch of hypocrites scamming over advertisers, but fairness and the game
does not matter. Playing the game well is what matters. ;)
