    Hi,
Anybody knows or has an idea how it will work or how to set up that in Facebook or in our hosting as of the 1st october?
I know that Hostgator has a free Shared SSL in the baby and business plan.

    Thank you

Maybe this could be a solution. I had not yet time to check it but maybe it's worth.

Buy ROOT certificate :) or get those free from Comodo I think :))) OR get hosting that gives you ROOT cert.

Most hosts offer it per root, but it is a little more if you also want to include sub domains

I use a Domain Provider that offer me WhoisGuard Protection for FREE, is it possible to keep use it even with SSL? Or with SSL you need to add your real details?

    Thank you

You can add any details to SSL cert you like (self-signed).
    Pamela Anderson
    Playboy inc.

But cert. like so will trigger security precotions in 101% of browsers and depending on those user will have to click 0 1 2 10 times to allow it and see ur site... bottom line: not good.

If you buy root cert you will have to add real details or you will have to buy those with stolen cc data.

If you get one from company XYZ..its one generated for XYZ company and has their details (AFAIK)

What if you write "https" on the Facebook App field even if your website is not SSL?
Is it a way to bypass the problem?
