An alleged spammer could face jail time in connection with a Facebook lawsuit after a judge referred him to the U.S. Attorney General's Office for criminal proceedings.

sounds like they were phishing ppls accounts then using them to mass message all their friends with their aff link. kinda scary to see though. hopefully craigslist does do anything like that

They deserved it for phishing. Don't screw with personal details or other peoples money and you won't have lawyers knocking at your door.

Usually spamming = lawsuits. but of course you have the golden rule. phishing and botnets will get you some fed time.

It's the truth though on massive scale. That's why if I'd ever need it done I'd just give a respected overseas BHW member some work. :D

ahh i was wondering how you could get jailtime for spamming, but phishing is bad, especially with the private info on facebook accounts

Alot to do with your method. Do your research and invest in good lists. I paid 13k for a yahoo list about a year and a half ago. Of course I was running nexus with 10 remotes. :)

Filing for bankcruptcy is the best way to direct attention away from your stash.
You're bankrupt. You're a loser. You're in the news. But people forget quickly.
And you can start enjoying your money, or start all over again.

wonder if this is the same person doing all the clickfraud on the facebook ads. i tend to assume whatever they actually get caught for is just a front for the really bad shit that they're doing beneath the surface.

However, judgment for Facebook's ongoing civil lawsuit against Wallace has been stayed as the defendant has filed for bankruptcy. Court judgments involving money are usually stalled when a defendant files for bankruptcy, Schnitt said.

Thats why facebook is pissed, so they want to go for the criminal proceedings. Motherf*ckers!

Sanford Wallace is a G. Everyone who is pissed at him just don't get it - their wallets must be tighter than a pre-t**n's thing!
Anyway, I hope he makes it out alive and continues onto next endeavors; twitter for instance.
