I have seen this advice a few times when you Pva an account go in and delete the phone number you used.

Is there a reason for this?

can only tie a number to one account at a time. some ppl try to verify many accounts with same number so must do one at a time. of course there are better ways :p

There is another reason: Prevent from Re-Verification. Facebook is asking for Re-Verification on PVA accounts sometimes. So if you can't get the number back, you also can't get your account back!

When you dont have the access to the phone number its better to remove the number whn you log in .. If the pva ask for re-verification and if you dont have the access , its done.. you have to throw the pva then.

if you have the access to the number its well and good you dont have to remove the number
if you dont have the access , and if facebook asks the re-ver its over.. you cant ever access the account..
so its even better to reverify again rather loosing the account (money account) , accounts like lots of friends on it. accounts with fan pages etc..
