So, I've moved a website and its according Facebook page must be renamed. Facebook won't let me rename it because the new name does not match the previous name. (If it matched, I wouldn't be moving the damned thing.) So I created a new page with the new name, with the exact same info as the previous one, same looks, everything. Facebook will not let me merge the pages either because the names are different(!!!). So I posted a notice for all the users to migrate to the new page, but as you'd expect its reach was 0.000001%. As expected, Facebook wants me to spend another pile of money promoting the new page. Question is : How do I get my former page audience into the new one? Keep posting invites on the old one until everyone migrates? It's 100% white hat, everything is clean, family grade content, etc Is there a way to mirror every post from my new page on the old one? Thanks for any pointers. Rant: This comes to show how white hat investment in Facebook can be wasted money. They can screw you anytime for any reason.
