I made a fan page a month ago for an upcoming movie that I wont mention. It's only for fun between me and a few friends/fans. It's got less than a hundred likes. Anyway, I have called it (themoviename) official in the url.

Today I got a threatening mail from someone who claims to be the official representative of the movie company behind the film. He basically gave me 48 hours to delete the page and loose the name and also sent me a link to what he claims to be the bone fide page. The page has 104 likes (weird if it's the real deal) and locked content (I thought that wasn't allowed by fb). It seems bogus to me, however if it's legit, can he force me to loose the page if I have stated it's a fan page on the about section? If it is the real deal, seems like they are pissed they did not grab the name quick enough and if they have no rights to stop me, perhaps they can purchase the name from me lol. if not, I will dump it as its attached to my real account.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

    James
