As far as I'm aware, Reach is based on how much engagement the post gets: comments, likes (and the other emoticons) and shares, so if I've randomly posted 100 posts over X days, would it be safe to look at the ones that got the most reach to determine which were the most popular ones?

There are blog posts going on about other things such as:
Lifetime Post reach by people who like your Page (as opposed to:
Lifetime Post Total Reach (which is what you see when you look at your page and it shows the reach).

Just wondering what thoughts other people have?

I'm basically wanting to overtime remove posts that underperform and repost my most popular ones every 2 months, as the chances are people will have forgotten about it, if they've seen it before.

As for links/urls/articles, I'm going off link clicks and less so much about Reach

I'm also thinking if I post statuses that have the highest reach, this should in turn, increase the overall reach of my page and therefore increase the rate that the page receives likes/fans?

For images you want to go likes & shares over reach
For videos you want to go by views, as opposed to likes/shares.
For links you want to go by CTR, what % of people clicked your link, in order to determine what was the best engaging posts
