I just posted something on my fan page, and one fan can't see what I posted on the newsfeed, so only way to see is to visit the fan page? How's that? Why?

I used Facebook ads in the past, does Facebook wants to keep you promote post in order to get visiblity?
Once you try facebook ads, they will try to hide your post when you won't use that to force you to by ads again?

    What do you think?

Yeah... that's an issue all Facebook fan page owners are dealing with, and it's a hell of an issue.

As a page owner myself (1 m + likes), it is devastating to find out that only up to 70-80 k people (rarely 100k) see what you have posted, when it should be all the fans, since you're posting for them to see it.

Facebook simply wants more money from the 'promote post' thing... and also I've heard that if you have a verified fanpage, the reach of posts will raise automatically. I don't know if that's 100% true since I couldn't verify my pages up to this day.

I've seen pages that still have great reach, it's just much harder to get it. You need to have really engaging posts to increase your organic reach.

And it's not over year, coming january 2015, the natural reach without advertisement and engagement should be around 0.2% of your total fans. They def want you to pay. Facebook business is over in term of free promotion.

This is rubbish! Absolutely! We have to do something to avoid that!
Do you think it's something different if you ever used facebook ads on your page or you never used? Or this doesn't make any difference at all?

If I post something on my page I want that everyone will see it!

Another question: I have a fan page but I'm not a company, how can I get a verified fanpage?

We can't do anything about it, It has been in place for a few month already and it's getting worst and worst. Facebook has communicated about it and they will continue this way. You can search the forum there is tons of discussion about it (its getting old tho).

I think there is no difference if you ever paid or not, I don't know what's your post reach, but as I said earlier, if you ever get above 2% reach for an inactive page, you can feel very lucky already.

If you want everyone to see it, pay for it.

If you're not a company you have to be a celibrity, or victim of multiple impersonation to get verified. Works about the same as twitter.

You can pay to promote it, but it still won't reach everyone...

The more people get involved with the post, commenting, sharing, liking etc. The more people that see it.

It sucks, and is the reason I hate facebook atm
