Yea like $50 dollars later I have 71 clicks and 0 conversions... mind you my CPA offer gives stuff out for FREE, it also has an exit popup. What gives ??? Screw this I'm going where all the money is RELIGION... I just need to hire a science fiction writer to create a completely true religion involving aliens and spacecraft, I'm calling Matthewology. The first tenet being that you send me your life saving and wire it to my account in the caymans !!!!!

You could send a million clicks to an offer, it doesn't mean any of them will convert. It sounds like you have a lot more testing to do..

I bet that it would convert better if you had tested a specific set of proven demographics before advertising on Facebook.

I guess we all have to try FB for ads. I hate it. Fair is fair its not a place where you expect to see ads and people are pissy about it. Our cpa was very high I wont do fb ads again unless I have something really local IE town based and really targeted. IE If you are 55 and need your lawn mowing in Crawley for £10 click here. Other than that, I hate it. They are funny about pictures and wont allow anything remotely engaging, hence all the ads look shit.

    I have another theory.. look..

FB people are pissed with people using the site for business or promotion
FB people are only concerned with themselves and their mates.
FB people join groups without knowing or caring what it means
FB clicks are becoming less valued as the media channel is so well known. People have settled.

Myspace is the same, but in the early days of a site, the users are intellligent, curious and what I call "Click credible" FB is a waste of space for advertising, a waste of space for groups expecting clicks.

It doesnt help that when ever you click a link you get a giant warning like your genitals are about to explode. I am sick I joined twitter and in one day the "curious clickers" out performed a week of intensive FB.

Speak to the clever genuises on here. Look at twitter or newer sites where the users are or might be a little more up for leanring about new product.

I disagreed to a point about your ad content. Sure it helps if you have a compelling headline and image but IT has to be so FUC*&* compelling that the offer needs to be too good to be true... and KNOWONE clicks an offer like that...

We once collected 380 people in a group in a month or so, and then we emailed them once a month for 4 months twice using different text to ask them to have a look....Each time the email was sent.... 1 CLICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I had big dollars I would not use FB as the phsycology of the user is currently no longer right, and there is far too much clutter.

As they are so massive, and one CAN see results sure, they will get continued advertisers but I bet my car, that the attrition rates and return advertisers is discussed on a regular basis.

Sorry not to offer more advice other than Twitter but I hope this gives you something to ponder..

Makes a change me not asking questions...
