    Hello Everyone,
Today morning i just saw a message from some facebook staff to my mail. First i thought that it was a fake email but then i myself found it was real.

    Some proof below:

So, I was targeting on some keyword related to facebook and my domain name contains the word "Facebook". So they contacted me about it.
They asked that i should remove all the content and everything and let the domain expire, I am not allowed to even sell/trade or do anything with the domain and failing to do this will lead to 100,000$ penalties.

I just removed my hosting and terminated that hosting and domain is having no content and nothing. I wanted to ask will i get into some serious matter still? As i already removed everything, Do you think i need to do anything else?

As you have done everything as they have mentioned, I presume you are safe. Reply them that everything's done.

Look up the laws of your country and see what they can do. I am pretty sure that if you're in India they can't do anything, but personally I wouldn't risk it. Also, I wouldn't then want to travel to the USA.

Removing the content and stopping domain use is enough imo

I wanted to fix up this matter at this movement. I already messaged them, Waiting for there reply.
As you can see all they want is to get the domain name removed and content from that domain and i already terminated the hosting and let the domain expire.

Regular C&D stuff, there won't be firing squad waiting you at home especially since you just dropped it. You can sleep your nights good again.

If it is fake, you are already safe.

If it is for real, you are safe again, since you removed the website already.
I have had the same issue with GD (hosting domain company) but I was using a blogspot domain. They told me to delete that subdomain and I did as they said. Problem solved!

It's utterly ridiculous to me, though, that registras allow us to register trademark infringed domain names without the possibility of a refund. I once unintentionally registered 4 trademarked domain names and realized my mistakes within 24 hours. I contacted the registra (namecheap) and they said "Well, sorry, tough luck but no refund. And if people complain, we'll help them take these domain names away from you".

It's like they are selling houses which belong to someone else. They should be the guilty one, not me.

As per law they have to notify you and try to solve the matter with you, before filing a law suite against you...
And they have done the same, and you have cleared everything, so you are safe now...
Facebook is a Registered Company in India too, so its better to be safe.... Regards...

As you have done everything they asked you to, there shouldn't really be any more problem.
