Facebook has a big revenue target this year - $550 million, according to investors who were pitched in the last round of funding. That?s nearly twice 2008 revenues of $280 million.

A big part of that revenue comes from cost-per-click advertising from small self serve advertisers. And right now those advertisers aren?t very happy. They?ve been complaining about click fraud of up to 100% for weeks, and the situation doesn?t seem to be getting any better.

Scores of complaints can be found at WickedFire, where advertisers are complaining of massive click fraud and an indifferent Facebook. A few of the recent posts (excuse the language):http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/06/21/facebook-click-fraud-enraging-advertisers/

Maybe someone has found a way to highjack the outbound traffic? Be cool if they had! Whooooooop! Just imagine other people paying for your traffic!

Saw this on Techcrunch earlier. I had just started thinking about running a campaign there and this article pretty much ended that. I don't go to wicked much, but I read the blogs of many of their top posters all the time. Awesome stuff. Interesting that a post from Wicked Fire was quoted in the article on Tech Crunch. Will have to be careful what I post on forums.

Facebook didn't work for my niche...It must be working for other people's :) But I guess they're screaming loud now since they're losing $$$ to possible click fraud.

Some dikh**d out there is sitting with a bunch of facebook bots and raging facebook I bet!
