Facebook charging for use from Sep 1st 2010. Is that true?

if facebook started charging everyone would just go somewhere else, myspace or perhaps the googleme which is suppose to launch. Facebook makes plenty of money from advertisements and selling ppc ads.

I agree, but he has already made quite a few dumb mistakes and I doubt they were his last. But no, FB will never charge its users any money.

As far as all the racist Indian comments go, let us pause and think about the situation at hand. Every race has good and bad people, no matter which race we are talking about. It is unfortunate that India is home to a lot of scammers, and that is why some CPA networks do not accept affiliates that reside in India and that is also why PayPal has tightened up on India (as a country) so much. In this world, the good will always have to suffer for the bad. But all of that aside, it is not fair to discriminate against a person based on their race.

yep good and bad people everywhere i am from India i am in cpa networks i use paypal without a issue. i have been on this forum for more then a year now came here as a noob last day i was just reading my old threads and i was kind of smiling inside. i worked hard and got to some point. me being from India does not make me a Con artist.

Totally insane, why do you guys want to talk bad about India when the topic is about facebook. Not all other countries are 100% good and best. :|

I -believe- Facebook earn money not from ads (that's the cover) but mostly by selling users' information and they earn fortunes from that.... They will NOT lose that for a stupid monthly or annual fee.

This is highly probable. They have been caught doing it without users' permission before. I wonder if they added a clause to their TOS that allows them to do this in some way, form, or fashion. I am too lazy to look; FB's TOS has never concerned me that much.

Well no CPA company's TOS tells them to shave and they do shave..
no adsense rule says they should close accounts with no reasons but they do..
TOS won't stop them
it's a corrupted world.

If Facebook Start Charging, They will have only their Administrators accounts active. And 99.99% people will leave facebook over night... And The business Facebook is Currently doing with their Marketing part of the site,,, that will go down to $00000000. Facebook Officials are not that fool to put charge on their users.. Because, their users are their only source of earning in billions..
Now why should they waste their Traffic bank by taking a foolish decision?????

Well that's a marketing strategy...First people make you scare of the things..then give a solution to get out of it and then will pass you on the Surveys so that you fill those and don't pay the money/subscriptions!! lol
