Hey guys,

I'm running ads on a new ad account and facebook has capped my daily budget at $25.

The ad went live at 10:00am and by 1:00pm it was all gone. I thought that the budget was supposed to be spread out until 12am

Any ideas?

Thx!

Check the timezone of your ad account.

Hey man,

I'm in Hong Kong right now and ads are scheduled to start from 12:00am. But my ads were approved only at 10am hence that's when it started.

Targeting the US only btw.

Facebook does not let me change timezones... but in theory shouldn't the ad run for 24h regardless of your timezone?

Hong Kong is GMT/UTC + 8h, that is why this is happening. Nope, the ads run accordingly to timezone. There should be no issues at all from now onwards.

Sorry - if I'm understanding you correctly, I should start running ads at 1:00pm HK time(which is 12:00am in the US) in order for FB to spend my daily budget slower?

And running ads from 12:00am HK time is what's causing my problem?

Thx

you should check your account's time zone. there are accounts that will bite money very quickly to complete a 1 day budget even though the results are very low

That is strange anyway.
You pay money to facebook and expect to get the service and quality in return. And they had not informed you about the time zone effect.
Maybe that worth to contact them and ask for some kind of compensation.
Time targeting is also very important there.

compesation from facebook? They will send you a link to their TOS and all their rules stating that they will spend all your budget for the day and give you $0 compesation :P

Yeah, Facebook will never give you a compensation :)

this is normal when your new ads is in review for a long time and get approved by the end of the day. or your ad has billing failed and you renew the payment by the end of the day.

Wow I did not realize I got so many messages cause I wasnt notified. Lemme read these rn

Edit: My ads did not go up at the "end of the day". They went up 10am HK time, leaving 14 hours to run ads.

Also I wish I could change my timezone but my ad account is new. Can't do it T_T

yes. you should notice the ads account's timezone. it may be different with your local timezone. if you want to prevent this case, you can set a spending limitation on the account, and remove the limitation at the beginning of the day.

Hi! New ads are often considered longer than we would like. In any case, you should check the time zone of your account, and you can set a spending limit on the account.

If your timezone is the same as where you are run sponser contact the support it happened to my freind once

Chinese rules seem to be different. Now HK is chinese I think it is even more difficult to do any advertising on "USA Sites".

The reason may be that the time zone of your account and the country you run your ads on is different, so when the account is running out of 1 day it will try to spend all the budget you set for 1 day. while in reality the country you are aiming for is not over yet
