Hi all,

Just thought of an idea and need your inputs. I believe many upcoming app developers might want to sell their ad space at apps directly to advertiser rather than via ad networks. Possible to gain more as well i guess.

I'm thinking of creating a platform where app developers can post their ad space availability and advertisers can get in touch with them directly. What you guys think?

Awesome idea, but unfortunately FB ONLY allows a list of allowed ad networks, from where you are can run ads.

Running ads from anything outside than them or even from a direct advertiser will get your app banned.

For your ad platform to work complaint with FB TOS, you will have to get yourself approved as ad network from FB. But then again you become no different from already existing ad networks on FB if you go that way.

Well, my idea is such that it gonna be a dedicated website where app developers can freely post their details to grab advertisers attention. So, we are not going to depend on FB to approve my website.

As for the FB TOS, it is highlighted that developers must select from their approved ad networks. Well, this ad networks approved since they agree to follow FB TOS. As for ad networks, they need to ensure their advertisers comply so that they get the 'FB license'.

As for in our concept, the app developer are getting deal direct with the advertiser, and app developer always can highlight that whatever advertising campaign that the advertiser gonna place, must comply with FB TOS.

Dont see any issue with that i guess since FB never state anywhere that you cannot get your own advertisers.

Correct me if i'm wrong...

Hi Indianbill007, I just started using Cubics for my ads. Are they any good? Which ads network would you recommend? I'm getting my hands dirty with Facebook apps.

I have heard cubic stalling developers payments and not paying timely. I DONT have any personal experience with them yet. Iam planning to use them in one of my apps.

FB has nothing to do with your website, all they care is any ads which show up in FB apps CAN ONLY be from approved ad providers. So if an application developer starts publishing ads from a private advertiser, even if the advertiser follows FB TOS 200%. FB will ban it. A perfect example is Google adsense.
App developers cannot use google adsense in their ads, even though google ads follow all FB TOS 200%. Its a wicked game which FB is playing with App developers, but we need to live with that :)

After all these apps pay our rent lol.

You got a point there about google adsense which were ban at FB. But assuming the other reason why FB ban G might be coz G didnt follow or couldnt be bothered to follow FB TOS afterall. Just imagine, G having their own way of approve, implementing and displaying ads on publisher sites or apps and they have their own TOS as well. The problem might be coz G couldnt be bothered to follow FB TOS. This makes sense coz G have their own way of implementation and FB developers is just a part for them and they are not gonna change their TOS asking advertisers to follow FB TOS, etc etc. Just my 2 cents anyway..
