    Hi all

I need some help with advertising on Facebook, i am starting a new business fixing computers in my local area and my main area of advertising is going to be Facebook but i have a few queries

What is the best way to advertise a service like this? Just create a normal Facebook page or group?

What are the daily limits for adding friends to each of the above?

What are my main problems with Facebook and not getting banned?

Will i have any issue with captcha codes?

Has anyone started a pc repair business in there area with Facebook marketing? If so how did it go?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I tried it but i didn't get very far. I actually still have my fan page active with about 30 real fans which took ages to get manually. I think your best option is to use facebook ads, that way you can target a specific county in your country :).

I created a facebook page for a local computer repair shop. Just over 130 fans...creating a new timeline cover as I type with some added content. Not much activity at all on the page, however
it's really from a lack of engagement from the actual owner. I maintain his website and google places lisitng which brings in plenty of clients.

    Good luck with your page!!

You'll do better with local search than with Facebook. Not many will search for "New York pizza" in Facebook, in the same fashion not many will search for computer repair there.

Google might be better for ya than facebook for the ads you are looking.
Even though facebook might be cheaper for ads, People are not seraching for "repair" when they see the ad as oppose to Facebook.
What i normally do is run a campaign in facebook for 30 days by Geo targeting people so that folks in your zipcode are aware of your service then i will stop the ads and move to google

You need to go white if you ask me.
Build yourself a targeted community with useful content and you wont get ban from Facebook:)
