Question: How did you manage to get the likes for such a low price? The price is a lot lower than most websites that sell Facebook likes. Answer: Optimized CPM campaigns, worldwide location settings to emerging markets, language targeted, simple ad text, varied pictures, interest targeted, many ad variations, and use of a question in the title! Question: Are these targeted to general or specific audiences? Answer: The Facebook ad campaigns I use are targeted to specific audiences which is the only way I can get a CTR of .5% to 5%. For example, if a page was about YouTube, the ads would only be shown to people that already liked YouTube. Question: How many ad views do you let ads stay up to test their performance? Answer: Usually I wait until seeing the results the second day. Often Facebook just burns the budget the first day and then delivers better results the second day. If the results by the third or fourth day are bad, changes are needed! Often the second day will be 10 times more effective than the first. Note that the screenshots posted are both from the second day of a campaign. Question: Does this work every time? Answer: Optimized CPM campaigns often work horrible compared to CPC. Still, when they do work, you can get results like this. If you want to play it safe, use CPC. If you have a lot of likes you want to get, try taking a shot at optimized CPM first and switch to CPC if you get terrible results. By terrible results, I mean getting more like one to 10 likes per dollar. It will hurt your pride a little! Question: Is it enough to test this with lets say a $2/day campaign? Or do I have to invest more (esp. in high quality traffic, like US only) in order to get a good overview? Answer: The most effective campaigns tend to be towards the minimum budget. Often having 10 $1/day campaigns running works much better than having 1 $10/day campaign running. That said, if you have a $1000/day budget, you probably do not want 1000 campaigns running. You should ideally have between 10 to 20 campaigns running for a page at a time with the best one or two of those getting a budget equal to what the rest get. Start with a small budget of a few dollars per day and try slowly scaling up successful campaigns! All credits to Banwork from WF. IMO,this is a very vague ad and will not perform this great if used for a particular purpose like generating leads/sales or even likes for a niche page. Nonetheless, what banwork has done is great and the guy needs to be respected.I have personally managed a fair amount of likes (About 150/$) for a page that targeted a particluar niche in US/UK/CA with a CTR of 1+ Bottomline : Stop Buying REAL Likes,go for ads!
