I have a question about Facebook ads. Long story short, I am seeking an investment for my product. Investors would like to see market validation before proceeding. We have a website where we will be collecting data using facebook pixel. The ad funnel is basic and looks the following: facebook ad (photo/video) -» redirect to website -» purchase button -» popup message to fill out contact information before proceeding.

Due to covid, it might not be a perfect time to run this test, however, I would like to move forward while most businesses are quitting, hence I would like to close this deal with them. I understand that they want to be realistic and make their decision based on the market test results, but I as the owner should not only be realistic but also believe 100% the product's success.

Therefore I would like to push the campaign more with my friends, family etc... My assumption is that if I just give them the website link, its not good, because in analytics, the data should show that the customer comes from the facebook ad.

My question is; is there some kind of a unique id or link or whatever of the ads that I can share with my connections to use, instead just sharing the website link with them?

Your answers are appreciated.

I do not think there is way to fake fb ad data.

Moreover if you take opinion from family or friends, result might be skewed.

If you are really serious about your product, better spend $50-$100 on actual fb ad to get real data.

Thanks for your response. I know that the results will be skewed. I just want to push an extra 1 or 2 % out of the conversion rate. We will be spending around 2,000$ for one month
