I have an ad on Facebook that has been denied approval because it violated the Tobacco policy for Facebook ads.

The thing is, I am simply selling clothes with cannabis designs, and my first ad directly selling the clothes got approved and ran.

Now my second ad for a blog post driving traffic to my site is denied. Any particular reason why?

Has anyone had one of their ads denied, then getting their ad approved in a later time?

Hi, this has happened to me before. Specifically my website was flagged because of previously advertising a product which helped smokers quit smoking. I contacted support and they fixed it however, I still had issues where ads were disproved with reasoning such as "Website URL - Tobacco" If you are getting that the only way is to change your domain, otherwise contact FB support and they should be able to assist you.

Damn, you had to change your domain? Why? Seems like if they allow your ads to your website, your domain should be fine. Unless the domain name was in some way violating their policies?

Nope, was just flagged because the ads were approved multiple times, then disproved then approved again and was just stuck in a loop every day and my URL was flagged afterwards.

I emailed support, do you think in the meantime, I should try running that ad again but with a different ad image? Or should I just wait for support to get back to me? I don't want to have to change my website domain!

Just wait until you get a reply from support.

I did it! I emailed them and they said they wrongly disapproved my ad! Haha Facebook! I win! My ad is now set to run tomorrow morning! Thanks Scyllla! :alien:
