    Hi,

The only way to get real and interactive followers is to use Facebook Ads, so it seems. I have a funny pictures website and I'm planning to promote it via Facebook Ads to get more likes on my Facebook Page. The competition is pretty large when talking about funny pics so I was wondering what the best budget strategy would be when promoting it via Facebook Ads. The facebook page now only has 900 likes.

Currently I was thinking about 20 euro (+- 27 dollars) for a week of promoting the page itself (not only a single post).
    Target : US audience

    All info is welcome.

    cheers

Unless you've planned this out thoroughly, I would suggest you don't blow your money on ads!
There are thousands of "funny pic" websites and many more appearing every day but the masses keep using the same big ones like 9gag, funnyjunk etc.
So you should plan your investments wisely, maybe there's another niche you can target.

However you didn't show us your website so I don't know just how much time and effort you've already invested. I might be wrong.

The website is up and running for a couple of weeks now. It's a Damn Lol clone and I tried all sharing techniques (automatically) to the major social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr etc. I get a lot of reblogs and repins but not enough daily unique visitors to the website (eventhough they all have clickthrough or a link to the website).

I hope to get more fanpage likes and therefore more shares/likes on the facebook posts to get started.

If u have a decent traffic, you can use a clickjacking script to convert your website traffic into likes.
