I had an offer in 2014 for $50 from Facebook Ads via email with a 16 digit promotional code. The code contained numbers and letters like - XX##-XX#X-#XX#-XXXX. I never redeemed it and it expired a 30 days later. Facebook almost never sends me promotional emails with x amount of Ad$ credit. Linked-in sends me $500 all the time. Adsense does every time I sign up with a new account. Does Facebook Ads not offer these promotional credits? If they do, is there a way to redeem / sign up with new account to obtain them?

Really considering not advertising with them if they can not provide basic promotional credits. What kind of logic is this? If they want people to use their platform, shouldn't they at least match what you spend for the first $50 or so?

I think it's a scam, there will be no credit on FB like that. Please be careful with those offers.)

It was very real. Facebook email headers, redirected to Facebook and had a 16 digit code to copy and paste. Remember it’s from 1/2014. A lot has changed since then. When I clicked the link, their redemption page which redirected to Facebook.com says it no longer existed.

In the past when they were starting they actually did it and sent some discount coupons

But nowadays being one of the richest and most used ad networks in the world they don't need to offer coupons to attract people xD...it remained in the past

Damn

Usually they will sell it at half the price of the used value

I just dropped $300 in Facebook ads. Holy shit, one of the worst programs I’ve ever seen. Multiple bugs. No conversions but was promised 1-12 a day and I ran two different ones for 3-4 days - so 2-24/day. What the actual f?

Disputing with my bank now.

• WhatsApp button on my ad was not working for the first full half of the campaign - click it, either does nothing, or opens the app and closes it just after.
• FB ads manager says WhatsApp is not installed, so I can’t edit a custom campaign.
• Had to buy a prebuilt campaign because of this.
• When I click install WhatsApp, it says it’s already installed.
• Reels keep getting turned on automatically and campaign keeps automatically restarting.
• I keep turning them off and they keep getting turned back on!
• Message templates are not working at all!
• got 5 scam messages about copyright violations and 2 bad reactions.
• Was promised 4000-12000 views a day for 3-4 days. I ran the ads 3-4 days and only got less than 5000 total views.
• I also could not delete the ad at all, until a day after the campaign stopped.
• Facebook wouldn’t provide support and my bank kept calling me blocking the charge saying it was a scam, no wonder, should have listened to my bank. I had to call back to get it approved but it ended up being a doozy.

Complete scam! Will not be advertising with them again and I cannot recommend for a small business. Maybe it’s because WhatsApp was bugged and no one could send me a message? I have no idea but one of the worse ways to spend $ to advertise. Would think they would have this fixed by now, especially because they have 1.06/5 BBB stars. Now I know why and the BBB gives 1 star by default. So clearly Facebook is .06/5 stars rofl.

Facebook Ads occasionally offers promotional credits, but they're not as frequent as other platforms. You can try signing up with a new account to see if they offer any introductory credits, but it's not guaranteed.
