Facebook has made big announcements at the f8 conference. For me, this is the biggest change in Facebooks History. Announcements about messaging system or new chat features are nice to hear, but they are not game changing.

The Timeline and the positive changes for developer, projected dollar signs in my eyes. At first, I had no idea, how it could be interesting to make business. But I knew clearly, that this is the biggest chance for internet marketers. Still I have not a 100% complete plan or idea how to realise and Im stil thinking, spending my time to find the brilliant lightning idea, to turn all this new oppurtunies in serious business.

What kind of oppurtunities is he talking about, you might think. But imagine, that a app now can be on the profile of a user, and can create activities (entries in the newsfeed), without asking for permission. People will use apps now, to express themselve. To tell, what they eat, what they listen to, and everything you can think of.

Remember when the first external like button was announced, and some early birds created likepages with sayings etc and they were so successful, because the users could express themselves with a like click. But now they can so much more...

I would recommend you to read in the documentary, so you can understand the possibilities and turn them into ideas!

I will give you an example for a app tomorrow maybe, i got something in mind. But I need time to write about it, which i dont have now, cause Im tired.

But I would be happy to hear your ideas if you already have some. So dont mind posting them!

I wonder how the world will react to the new FB changes. People already complain enough when it goes through an update, and from what I've seen FB's number of users has steadily been dropping lately, wonder if the new update will continue that trend

There are lots of opportunities with the new version of opengraph and the possibilities behind apps utilizing timeline.

I wouldnt say Facebook numbers are dropping though, you can clearly see on the Facebook page that they are still growing, just slower than before. But then, when you got 800million people from a worlwide population of around 7billion (every single living human being on the planet) I'd say its bound to slow down a bit, what with people dieing and stuff ;)
