This guy hacked peoples accounts. He phished their info and stole passwords

    This is illegal.

And much different from the typical "spamming" we do such as starting cpa related fan pages or spamming walls

Breaking the TOS of any of these sites like FB/Google/Ebay is Not illegal, even if they like to pretend it is

Agreed, this guy was using a whole website to do this, he was not just some random guy with a fan page trying to earn a buck with a cpa offer

Can you read English? It clearly states in the first paragraph of that C & D, "(2) accessing Facebook accounts that belong to others". Phishing is highly illegal, especially when you're mass phishing.

Spamming Facebook is merely against the TOS, and the only thing they can resort to is banning your account. Even if they try to pretend that you've done something wrong, so long as your not infringing upon actual set laws, they can't really do jack shit.

Not to mention the fact that they're a multi-billion dollar company. Hide your shit a little bit (proxy, etc etc) and they probably won't even be bothered enough to try and do anything about it. Just a guess though, don't take it as a given :).

Bare in mind a lot of these big corp's send out C&D's to try and shake you. I got a C&D a while back from Zuffa (UFC), they asked me to transfer the domain, it didn't work, I never heard from them again.

Seriously, these corporate assholes seldom actually do anything about it. Make sure that you shove fake whois information when you register a domain that would be used for blackhat style crap, and you're pretty much guaranteed to be able to roam free and do whatever the fuck you want on FB (with the exception of phishing) and get away scott free.

Its just a site for people to effectively delete their facebook account in a cool way. Doesnt really have much relevance to what most people here are doing with facebook.

hack = illegal and actions can be taken against you even jail time.

fake profiles = maybe "illegal" in the way you should only have 1 account.. but no actions can be taken against you in court.

let me ask you.. i create a profile right now.. put a pic and start adding friends, how come fb knows it is a "Fake profile" ?

If you have a fake profile you are doing something with it. There is more than likely going to be domains, hosting, affiliate networks that could all link back to you. Go offshore, get WHOIS protection, cloak your links, frame your pages, obfuscate your code, do anything you can to hife yourself ;)

wrzhost.com is cheap and plain. Simple, offshore shared hosting. Perfect for offshore hosting without much hassle.

I don't know the A-Z of them but their servers seem to be very reliable to me and they are hosted offshore also so I'm happy at the moment :)
