F**k You, Dear Twitter Spammers :)

Ok,
Don't take it personally, I know lot of you are here. I'm not really that mad, just noticed a "funny" thing today.

So I was hunting for a google wave invite (ok, still am, PM me if you have an extra one to spare) and thinking where to find one. Twitter - obviously. Went to a site where I can see live stream of tweets with "google wave" in them.

What did I see? Couple of real deals where people are holding contests to get them, tens of people like me wanting to get one, and HUNDREDS of iFramed bullshit pages, hundreds of tweets like "Make real money online <aff link here> Google wave." or "google wave won't get you girls, this will <dating link here>.

Now why do you have to go and spoil a nice and wonderful social media service.. ? Just asking.

Anyone with me? Or everyone just happy spamming the shit out of it, eventually probably making it die due to people feeling like me

wonderful social media service? Are you kidding me lol. Lets face reality here man, twitter is the biggest load of crap ever. Millions of users does not mean worthwhile.

Don't get me wrong it can be great for making money if you have a good plan and lots of followers but other than that why limit yourself to 140chars when you could easily get a blog with all the functionality of a blog. Twitter is shit

People don't start and build social media sites out of the goodness of their hearts. They do it to make money off their users along the way and (maybe) eventually cash out. Why is it so wrong of us to attach ourselves like a remora to that shark and make some money along the way too?

Jimbobo: Millions of users does not mean worthwhile - 100% agree, personally I think fb is the biggest load of crap ever and still this fucking thing has 500 million users. wtf. It's like the big brother for poor guys imo. ppl just posting about themselves - it's pretty far from social media, it's just selfish media.

I actually work 9-5 researching social media so I got a pretty comprehensive overview of the different shit going on in Internet and twitter just happened to be one of the very few services i've learned to like. So maybe this just touched my something.

I use twitter for both personal and making money if you dont like spammers dont follow them and you dont need to worry they are there

twitter is nice to find all sorts stuff on the web.
and as soon as you understand it, its a nice service to use.. keeps you up with all the info about your freinds business partners and so on...
