Hi guys,

Okay I'm in deep shit.

Godaddy just took all the money out of my paypal renewing all these stupid .info's I never use.

I never ever use Godaddy so I didn't look that I still had domains in my account.

This has now put me in massive shit since I was going to use most of my money to pay someone :(

Anything I can do?

You can do PayPal dispute and argue that you didn't know about automation of renewal.

You can call GoDaddy and ask them WTF and say that you didn't subscribe for auto renewal and that they miss lead you.

Here you go ^^

Just did that, will call them in the morning.

Thanks for your reply though.

The problem is godaddy enables Auto-renew by default and if you have a paypal a/c on file your domains are renewed automatically. You have to manually disable the auto-renew feature of the domains.

So, if they say the feature was enabled and it has renewed the domains automatically, tell them that it is tedious to manually disable the feature and sometimes a human can leave out a few domains. Secondly, they should have atleast sent you an email asking if you wish to renew the domains. They can't just go and take the money out from your paypal. File a PP dispute for sure.

You have to act on it ASAP else you will never see that money again.

This is why reading the fine prints are of utmost importance. .info domains shouldnt cost a whole lot. Its either you have thousands of .info domains or too little money on you paypal.

Best of luck bro.

i think you can refund your money from godaddy if you really don't want those products anymore. it happened to me before and i got a full refund. just try to contact their customer service

Don't worry, same happened with me once.
Contact them and ask refund, they will refund your money.
At least, they did refund mine without any questions asked.

File up a dispute in PayPal and contact the Godaddy on their costumer care.
They will issue a refund for sure :)
Many of my friends got it back :)
Do let me know if you want further assistance :)

They are fucking evil....i always pay attention to that cuz i know that my renewals can sum up to 600$ and i am using my CC not PayPal :)

This is something that i have never thought about, thanx for the heads up and i hope you get your money back.

i had about 50 .infos that were getting ready to renew with them a couple weeks ago. glad i caught it or the charge would have been like $500

they I lost a couple of hundred bucks too for autorenewal of so many domains that I never use..

Godaddy sucks bigtime.

I don't understand why you guys just don't cancel auto renewal's ? Its just a matter of few clicks.. If you no more plan to use those domains why you guys don't stop them for renewals? then you post threads like this and blame godaddy.

Its just a facility from godaddy so you don't loose your domain name and the services associated with your bought domain. I don't think its good to blame goaddy for no reason. It was you who accepted their Eula while registering account with them and buying domain name.

Makes no sense blaming godaddy here. Just an advice don't take it otherwise.

Godaddy's Pretty Good with Refund's, Iv'e Had Charges to My Paypal sometimes Small, & I was like wtf was that, other times quite more Obvious.

Im in Australia, & I ring up the Customer Service, & it's an Aus Number and it goes straight through to there US Customer service, 24/7 (Wait time can be up to 20mins)

But they always Refund Immediately No Problemss

Paypal's the Real Annoying Problem, I Got Doubled Charged from SeNuke Before, BLoody Annoying.

Paypal's Customer Service isn't always the most helpful, they like to take there time.

You need to check on your Paypal auto-renew payments from time to time and see if there is anything there you don't need anymore.

I remember checking it a while back and finding a $3.95 charge that I had been paying for several months without even realizing it.

Turned out to be a traffic exchange premium membership that I bought for one month back when I launched a product.

Turns out they had been charging me every month. Disputed all of the fees and got the money returned.

Yes, this has happen to me to. I went in and changed them to not auto renew and guess what happened... They charged my cc anyways. I called customer support and they took care of me. I purchased a lot of domains years ago at the same time and forgot about them auto renewing and did not check my emails. Took this young lady out for dinner and my debit card did not work and had no cash on me LOL
That sucked.
