Hey guys, I have realised I spend way too much time on the computer and not enough time on my body so every morning instead of spending three hours making no money I am going to hit the gym. I am currently 95kg and about 182cm tall. When people try guess my weight they never guess that I weigh that much they always so 80kg. I guess I would like to be down around 80 but that is a long way away.

Has anyone here lose significant amounts of weight before? If so, how long did it take and what did you do/eat?

    Cheers

It's easy with a little bit of discipline. I went from 96 Kg to 81 kg within 6 weeks and then to 77kg within another month. I stopped eating suger and flower based products. My meals would be vegetables and meat/fish/chicken. Very easy.

Hey mate, I also think the beer is a problem. I only drink one night a week but when I drink I do it properly. Beer is extremely bad for you when trying to lose weight, full of carbs and shit.

For exercise, I am doing a heap of leg work. Your legs are the biggest muscle in your body so they use heaps of energy. Also I am doing x-trainer and just general weight lifting. I try do allot of reps with light weights and short gaps between reps.

For my meals I am trying to eat a heap of fruit, this is easy because I work in a fruit shop. Also I am eating vegetable soup and eggs.

What does your exercise and diet plan look like?

Fruits contain lots of sugar. You won't be able to lose weight while eating sugar. Same with beer, I am afraid.

First off, how are you NOT making money with IM. It's far too easy. There is a GAP somewhere in what you are doing, and I wouldn't mind trying to help fill that (as long as your not broke and have a little money to invest into your biz LOL)

Are you looking for an automated, already set up, Amazon/eBay Magento type of site, or do you have a specific passion you are looking to tell the World about?

    PM me if you'd like.

That is MASSIVELY wrong. Fruits contain natural sugar, along with fiber and other essential nutrients. Fruits are very good for you.

Does not matter, sugar is sugar. You can replace fruits with vegetables. Very easy and pounds will roll off much faster.

Fruit does contain sugar but it is still a very important part of losing weight and being healthy in general. The fibre in fruit helps to stop the sugar from spiking. Unlike lollies and fruit juice, a peice of fruit does not make your sugar levels spike and this is what is bad for you.

However, everything in proportion is the key I think. 5 pieces of fruit per day should be fine.

DeskCoder is 100% correct. Fruits are very good for weight loss. Sugar is not sugar. Natural sugar, white sugar, and high fructose corn syrup are 3 completely different things. 2 of which are bad.

i went from 220 down to about 145 about 5 years ago. sitting at 175 right now and thinking about losing 20 again :p

th thing about sugar in fruit is right, sugar is sugar, but an apple is much better than a snickers bar. eat carrots lol.

    my advice:
    - i love eating till i have a full stomach. i made a tasty soup and had 2 bowls for lunch, 3 for dinner. the soup had everything in it. chicken, veggies and brown rice. (lose the brown rice for extra weight loss power, but it keeps you full longer)
    - I didn't eat breakfast. i mean, ive never been a breakfast type of guy... but an extra meal = extra calories
-exercise, i used a rebounder (mini-trampoline) fun to do listening to music, and one of the highest calorie burn rates out there. twice a day so you turn your metabolism "on" for a couple of hour after each time.
    - i did not do weights, i should have tho because my body burned a lot of muscle as well as fat. do a simple high rep bodyweight routine
-try and eat only enough to last you to the next meal. <-- i hate this but it works
-Cheat a little bit once in a while so you don't go overboard.
**this works** - a friend of mine is studying nutrition. he said he read a study about a diet technique where basically you fast for 24 hours without food. drink as much water, plain tea, and diet soda as you like. You do it twice a week. your body will burn about 4000+ calories in the 48 hours you aren't eating as your basal metabolic rate + some extra. the 24 hour period is not enough time for your metabolism to react to the lack of food and 'shut down' it will burn ALOT of calories. its quite easy to do. we did it together and we saw great results. my favorite thing to do was eat a decent dinner. sleep, think about dinner all day the next day. enjoy dinner lol. just be sensible with your 2 dinners or lunches. **this works**
-have days where you eat regularly, take a day off where you promise to be sensible and Don't Count Calories.
-prolonged periods of time on a reduced calorie diet will cause your metabolism and body to try and slow down/shut down.

Hey mak, cheers for the info. There are some things I disagree with and this may just be because I have different beliefs. I think breakfast is an extremely important meal. This is for a couple of reasons. Health experts say that when you are trying to lose weight skipping breakfast is a no-go because it starts your metabolism for the day, if you skip it, your body goes into energy storing mode. I also feel sick if I skip breakfast.

I don;t think diet soda is a good idea, I don't drink soda at all but so I guess it doesn't bother me. I think that diet soda has too many long term health ricks and it is not good for your long term health.

    Cheers

Pretty easy to lose yourself in front of the monitor, I have to force myself to get up and eat and workout sometimes.

Want to bet that 100 calories from fruits and 100 calories from vegies are the same??? The ONLY difference is the MICROnutritients.

I cut out energy drinks and started eating more vegetables and lost 10lbs over the course of 6 months. I wasn't over weight to begin with but now I can actually classify myself as skinny for the first time since highschool.

Also, I eat a ton of fruits and I feel and look great. Fruits on top of a crappy diet won't help you, but fruits in a diet consisting mostly of veggies--well, I could eat my weight in broccoli and never get my daily calorie needs. We need sugar to live, too!

I watched the Joe Cross juice diet movie on amazon prime. Was bored so I watched it and it changed my eating entirely. I bought a $30 juicer on amazon and ate juiced veggies and fruit for a few weeks. I threw in a sandwich here or there but I lost a ton of weight. Went from 195 lbs to 170 lbs - exactly where I should be. Still need to hit the gym and tighten up a bit, but I feel like I'm 25 when I just turned 50 a couple of months ago. I still look like I'm 40 though - which is fine.

Watch the video if you can. It's inspiring and the juice diet worked for me.
