Got a few questions that I hope someone can shed some light on. Does EZA only permit one active link to one url, meaning you can not have two active links in your bio using different anchor text that point to the same url? Also, do they have a problem against using anchor text that is the same as your domain name? Eg, my domain name is www.weightloss.com and I use the anchor text of "weight loss" and the title of my article is "weight loss"? I ask because in the past I had some problems and gave up using EZA due to problems they were saying I had with my articles.

I've just checked and seen recent articles submitted by people that used the same URL with two different anchor texts in their BIO. The anchor text was also a keyword from their article title. God I love/hate EZA :)

You can have 2 links in your author box with any anchor text you want. I have never had any problems with any anchor text I wanted to use. I have had problems with those assholes claiming I was keyword stuffing - even though they never asked me which keyword I was targeting.

EZA is a pain in the ass site that is very fickle. That being said you have to play their game because they do send a lot of traffic to our sites.

As a general rule I put 1 anchor text link plus one www-mysite.com link. I really concentrate on making sure I have a good resource box that draws the reader to my main pages.

I've written articles exactly according to their TOS only to have them rejected. Because we now use spun content...we just delete the rejected article and submit a new...almost always works.

IMO its more important to work on getting the traffic vs the links.

Thank guys. Yes, my past experiences were that EZA were very picky, and their responses confused me as to what the problem was because I thought I had followed everything properly. I am trying EZA again and had my last article approved no problem but had already used my 10 submissions. They've given me another 10 in order to prove I can follow their guidelines before any upgrade. See how it goes.

My suggestion is to write a few articles on general subjects and not put any links in the resource box. I do this for all my new EZA accts as well as our new Associated Content accts.

jvmarket is right. A few general subjects with no links will let eza think your not just after their traffic ;)

I had an article rejected yesterday because the 'anchor text' was too long. They do not allow more than 3 words anchor so always bear that in mind, although I always drop two urls in the resource box.
I made the change resubmitted and it was passed the same day.

    hi

ezine normally allows 2 active links but for the safe side I would suggest to go for 1 link only

the other can be your author link

moreover try not to use your keywords more than 1-2% of the total number of words your article has

I mean if you have a 500 word article to submit ,then try not to use your keywords more than 8-10 times else they term it as "keyword stuffing" and reject the article

moreover for new accounts one should try to get some general articles approved and get the "Basic Plus" status first so that after your first 10 article submissions ends up ,you have 25 articles to submit and get to the platinum status

but if the first 10 articles submitted by you create some problem or are not according to their guidelines then you would be given another chance to submit 10 articles so that you can get "Basic Plus" status after that

furthermore you have to state a reason that why you should be getting "Basic Plus" status and the same applies for the "Platinum" status too

Good luck with getting a lot of articles approved and getting to the platinum status:):)

    thanks,
    ankur

Same assessment i had.It is better to stick using one link.Sometimes they might not approved your article if they see that you are just trying to advertise.

I agree, most article directories allow advertising but not totally. They are still paying much attention to the quality of your article and how informative your content is.

I think a few guys have already said how fickle they are (EZA) but they shoudn't be coz their rules are well defined - I think it depends on who's got your article at the final stage...

One time, I was having a hard time with about 1 in 4 articles - could tell it was the same person the other end coz the phrases and style used was the same... He;she was really stroppy and said if I don't like it to furk off...so I backed down a bit....

But more recently, I have submitted 40 articles for the same niche over a period of 3 days and they flew through...

I really do feel it's who you get at final quality control...

I have found that if you make it the first place you start back-linking you have a lot less issues as the only other place they will find the material is on your site. Just sign off the article you are linking with Ezine Author Name and you don't have any troubles. Once the article is approved you can do what you want with the targetted page.

I've noticed the same thing, it seems to depend on who you get on a certian day. What gets me is when they've put 10 articles up and live for a few weeks then yank them back off telling you to edit something. It's annoying as hell.

Hey everyone..I'm a noobie so bare with me but I have a few questions about EA

I'm just starting out in IM and I'm with CB and another Aff Network..anyways I made a blogger blog for my CB product (since I don't have money to get hosting and domain right now for a LP) and I want to drive traffic to it using EA...I went to look at signing up and I was reading their guidelines on submitting articles and I'm so confused now

They say they want keyword rich articles, but then I see people on here talking about getting art. rejected for too many keywords?
I don't know much at all of html; so all of their guidelines confuse me on how I'm supposed to have my article look when I submit it?
I don't understand why/where they want me to list my keywords with commas in between them...don't I just use them as I'm writing the article?
Also to have multiple accounts with them do I have to change my IP or do they not check that? Can I get away with just a different email and name?

Hope these questions make sense and someone can help me..thanx to anyone who can :)

Just have to ask how did you get that domain. Have you had it for a long time?
That sort of domain name borders on impossible without the big bucks.

So once you have the 2 links in the bio box, is there a way to get more than 2 links to your site. I've heard that you can set up an RSS feed, but I don't have a clue.
