    Hey Guys and Girls.

I was thinking about writing some stuff and submitting it to ezinearticles and hubpages. Obviously everything would be unique and not spun because I may just try to build my profile on there and not spam. But we'll see how that goes lol :D

    My questions are:

How hard is it to become a diamond author on EzineArticles?

    and

Does HubPages have any type of rating system for it's authors similar to EzineArticles?

I downloaded the .pdf that EzineArticles provides everyone to see user levels but my laptop isn't loading the .pdf's right and I can't see anything :(
And I couldn't find anything on HubPages.

    Thanks In Advance!!!!!

    - Razzy :)

In Ezine it all depends on quality. You can even become a diamond member with just 10+ articles, if your quality of content is good. You can easily scale up to Basic plus, which the 2nd highest level, but for platinum and diamond, you should be the king maker, if you assume content is the king.

On the other hand, hubpages to have levels and you can see those info on:

Other than prestige are there perks to being a diamond author? I've only scraped articles from ezine, I've never actually posted to it.

I'm actually checking as we speak - I'm guessing it changes the SERP results (I say this because I searched a random keyword and they seem to be mostly sorted by keyword relevance > author title). Does it do anything else?

Regarding SEO not much, but being a diamond member one can get short article maybe around 250 words posted in less than 12 hours in a weekday. Will get a diamond badge. Below is the full details:

All the best. The only thing is that many people who aspire to get to that level of authority quit in the middle. Hope you go the distance. It is worth it - especially with co-citations gaining prominence.

If I remember it right, the last time I submitted my articles to EZA, they had a rule something like if you're at Platinum level already, you need to submit a request to the reviewing team to get that diamond status.

They don't give it to you automatically. Just make sure your first 10 articles get approved smoothly without too many fixes and you will get your Platinum status instantly. I know it because I did it :)

But I didn't send any request to become Diamond since I shifted my focus to pure SEO a long time ago. Since then, I only consider the articles submitted to EZA as high quality links with some traffic bonus. Quite many times I found my articles on EZA had PR2, 3 without any tiered linking. And the links are d0f0ll0w. So it's definitely something to keep!

    Hope that helps mate :)

P.S: Once you have that Diamond status, you need to keep the quality of your articles high or else they will pull it off in a blink of an eye :p

EZA is truly all about the quality of content and they take back the diamond title if the quality goes down, this is something that really makes you sick.!! any ways i wish you luck, i haven't used hupages much but i am going to try hubpages now.

Diamond level is one of the many attempts to salvage their content farm after Panda and Penguin.

    graph.png

Look at Alexa, EZA is deeply penalized for their greed by Panda.

I was an EZA writer once. After being penalized, they mass ban authors, but kept their content.

They never declined my article but two weeks after Panda, they demote my status back to Basic Plus. They used to welcome low (not lowest but low enough) quality of articles. I don't think mine were too bad, just average, but they never cared... always approved, then suddenly demote me.

Seems like now they try to make it up with Google, but it's too late for them.

Is EZA worth it? No. Just look at the number of views for recent article, if you don't believe me.

Getting diamond status but struggle to drive even a dozen views for a new article? Go on if you don't appreciate your time. They will bank most of the revenue by displaying dozens of ad links, and you only have 2 links to keep, hence zero traffic to your site.

I might be biased, but try it. See how much traffic you can get with it. Unless you get backlinks to the article (try to rank it by leveraging its small authority, but good enough than a brand new domain) or use it just for the purpose of SEO, I consider EZA dead.

I second every point. They are concentrating on quality, yet keeps the content of those demoted writers.

Too bad, I was a platinum member but only one article from a client who wanted to post it to get fast approval got be lowered my rank, just cos the article had a spelling mistake and missing "?" twice.

But, they approved as soon as I corrected that, still made me to keep my basic plus level.
