My eyelid is red and swollen, hurts when I push on it. Guessing it's from my contacts. Their only two week contacts and I do wear them a lot longer than that, also only suppose to wear them 10 hrs a day, I put them in at 9am and take them out at about 2am next morning.

I keep them clean, use fresh solution everyday, but last week pharmacy was out of my solution so I just grabbed a different bottle. Used it for a few days no problem, but this morning my eyelid is read and swollen.

Should I head to the eye doctors, (really don't want to, no insurance, but obviously don't want to lose my eye lol) or can I just run to the pharmacist and buy some over the counter eye drops? Do they even make over the counter eye infection drops?

I took my contact out of that eye, and took an aspirin. Ordered some new contacts online, just in case.

If its your eye see a doctor. If its just your eyelid you have probably picked up an infection. Get some Boric acid and keep washing it with hot water it will come to a head quicker.

You should probably see an eye doctor. Also look into getting different contact lenses, mine don't need taking out for a month straight.

Probably an infection, you spend too much time in front of the screen, in order to receive as much information as possible eyes are wide open for too long periods of time, the tears don't manage to rinse the dirt and bacteria as the eyelids don't shut often enough and you got yourself an infection.
Take a day off and visit your doc. You'll get some drops and it will be away in a day or two.

No need to worry. Just avoid using contacts for 3 -4 days, everything will be fine

You should probably see an eye doctor, but I used to wear my contacts for long periods as well, and would often fall asleep with them still in. When I'd do this my eyes would be sore too, but it usually would go away when I wouldn't wear them for 24 hours and let my eyes breathe.

Is it red and swollen kind of by your eyelash? It could be a stye, kind of an eye pimple.

If your doctor confirms it's a stye, here's an idea from now on: Wash your face.

Just bought new contacts, and flushed eye out with contact solution...I know it's not antibiotics but says it kills 99.99% of germs. Will try and go to eye docs tomorrow. Don't really have one, will try Walmarts exam center lol, wanted to get antibiotics over the counter, but don't see anywhere that sells.

Buddy before listening to any expert here in internet, go and visit an eye doctor.
If your eye is gone then you wont be able to see this forum again. See, I care for you.
So dont listen to anyone and straight go visit a doctor now.

Just go straight to the doctor, doesn't matter if you have it or not, you can find it in a local hospital. You aren't a nurse or a doctor, so you can make everything even worse.

    Good luck mate, feel better!
