Hey all, I'm sure many of us have faced some eyes issues at least once, if not regularly. I have dry eyes from time to time and need to use drops to soothe them. What are the eye issues you have faced or are facing now and what do you do to get relief?

I used to cry like crazy as a kid during cold and windy weather sir. My eyes were very sensitive and the moment I entered into a dark place like a subway station for example I couldn't see anything + the feeling that everyone is staring at you while you're crying your eyes out was just crazy.

However now it's all good and I haven't experienced any of this in a long time. I remember using some eye drops as a kid.

I'm a little bit on the opposite: I have overactive tear glands. Had an operation to fix it but it didn't do much... I could suddenly shed a tear at times without any particular reason, and friends and strangers would think I'm crying. LOL

If you have dry eyes, you may want to check the condition of your room. Is your room air-conditioned? If yes, that could be the reason. Also, get a humidifier and put it near you... it will help. But you may want to weigh the pros and cons when getting a humidifier... from what I understand it can increase the chance of wall spores/molds; dampen your wooden furnitures, and it could damage your electronics too.

P.S: funny story... I once had a classmate who has dry eyes. During lectures, she would put a small container of water beside her. Initially, I never understood why she did that... until when she starts feeling her eyes are getting dry, she would take some water from the container and just dab on her eyes.

I had a shalizon(sp) and would hold scalding cups of water against my eye to break it up.

You should see an eye doctor. Eye dryness is a common issue due to our excessive use of screens and mobile phones. Basically, we blink a lot less when we're in front of them.

Eye drops are a bandaid to the problem. You may need to drink more water, change your diet a bit and maybe get other forms of treatment to make sure that your eye irritations don't get worse.

That's great that you don't have this issue anymore.

That's a funny story indeed! My eyes feel dry in heat and are better in cooler weather generally.

    Ouch, that must have hurt!

    That's good.

I use an eye mask for relief

That's a well known brand. I use tears naturale.

    Yes, I use it.

You should make an appointment with an eye specialist.
