Okay, so if I have a keyword and wanted to get an EMD, but it's all taken.
Would it be best to add an extra letter such as 's' or 'z' after the EMD, or should I just buy an alternative such as 'MyEMD' and etc.

For example if my keyword was facebook, best domain for seo should be 'facebooks', 'facebookz' or 'myfacebook' and so on?

I want one that is best for SEO.

Id say just add an 'i' to the front or pick something that you think people would remember so you can get some visitors returning.

Yeah, I decided to add 'z' at the end of my EMD. Looked attractive and easy-to-remember.
But I need the answer to this, will it affect rankings? A few friends of mine tried this and they actually outranked numerous EMD sites. ._.

It works fine - both ways - i.e. adding either a "filler" word or letter

I'd add it to the end of the keyword, rather than the beginning - for SEO reasons

If you have doubts, check the SERPS to see the domain names already ranking - but I know a SEO who's recently tested it since panda/penguin and it still works
