You realize that sites have always been able to do this and this is what FB:Connect was, it is just that now FB:Connect is going to be forced over to the Open Graph API in June/July of this year.

The quote that you have got there refers to the like button, docs here:
    Code:
    http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like
And this is part of the new Open Graph API, full docs here:
    Code:

I already know that. FB Connect allowed individual actions on the website to show up on their friends' news feeds. That's not what I'm talking about.

What I'm talking about is the ability for external websites to publish a status update to the news feed of *everyone* who has connected to that website. For example, if 50,000 people "like" the site, then that site will be able to post a status update to the walls of all 50,000 people, just like a fan page would!

This is the stupidest thing I have ever seen invented by Facebook.

Let's abuse it, let's make users pc full of viruses, let's spam their wall... maybe facebook will understand how stupid is this.

Yep Ive seen a lot of that already. Most spam doesn't annoy me, I like to track it down and see what the spammer is promoting. But this is annoying.
