I don't like ripping people off or doing things to take their money. But isn't blackhat exactly that? Finding a mistake in google algorithm to hit it big or cracking a software so that everyone can use it, isn't that blackhat. You still take money from people in one way or another. I have read threads where people suggest proxies to exploit hostgator, but I have a better idea. Why not just pay friends to do this for like 15 bucks or something, register on their computer in 2 minutes and confirm their email...and never look back!

Don't use proxies, but get legit people to buy hostgator service...isn't that what host gator wants? Isn't it their fault for thinking that 50$ a referral was worth it, wasn't it their responsibility to hire a consultant before introducing an unsustainable program, and isn't it their duty (sort of like netflix), to admit that their model was unsustainable and go about changing it despite the negative publicity it may bring?

So here is a plan-You might call me crooked, but I ain't no rapist, murderer, wife beater, or child abuser....and hardly a thief

    - Get some simon gift cards in different names and such with a value of 20-35$ each.
-get friends to sign up with these cards and confirm for 15 bucks. That is 2 minutes for 15 bucks, and that is a lot if you are in High School like me.:)
-Get at least 6 sales over the course of the month, to avoid suspicion.
-Have to get a mix and match, some use one coupon, some use different coupon, some buy monthly package, some buy 6 month package, some buy reseller package.
    - Make like 150$ a month to start and work up to a 1000$. All the accounts with be 2 - 6 month (host gator got rid of 3 months to cut losses, but 6 months still don't help!) All purchases will be in different names and addresses and email and ip, so this is legit and hard to get caught. The only thing that is against the TOS is paying people to sign up, but I'm not gonna post that on my website, right?

I'm having a battle of whether or not I should do this , but isn't this worth being exploited? I have been searching for the past 6 months to find something adsense, ******, ppc, ppv, cpm to make decent cash. At one point I was just hoping to make .50$ a day! I have gotten ripped off and bamboozled...and if you knew me in real life you would find it hard to believe. This is why companies falter and this is why we have gone through a double dip recession (america). Because corporations sometimes get greedy or stupid or they refuse to acknowledge a mistake. This is the best thing I have come up with during hours each day during summer vacation coming up with ideas on how to make money. Simple...exploit stupidity.

Please READ THIS WHOLE POST and give me an opinion on the plan, my motives, whatever.

Last month I also thought abt something like this. But then I stopped myself coz i felt maybe it's directly cheating. So, it really depends on a person's perception. For few it might look fine and for others it might not be. :)

When someone signs up they are usually asked to verify. I was asked for a scan of my card so gift cards, pre-paid etc will probably not work.

On top of this you don't get paid until the monthly subscription of their account has been renewed for the third month so there is another $27 that has to be pumped into the account.

Still sound like a good idea ?

You are not the first person to think of this. It probably won't work; Hostgator has probably had hundreds or even thousands of people try this. From what I remember, they pay net 90 and don't pay for anyone that cancels within 3 months. Don't quote me on that. Try something else.

That destroys my evil plans I only thought it require 2 months. But either way it cost 35$ per card and 15$ fee to get a signup per card. So then that would be 150$ profit if I can get 6 people at 75$ commission a pop!

And to the other gentleman, the support says I can use a prepaid credit card, and i can just scan them before I hand them out anyways and forward them if I need to...

I am starting to get second thought about this:)
