Hi. There's a few expiring domains I've been after in GoDaddy auctions. They all have a good backlink profile, decent Domain Authority, are at least 1 year old, and have not been redirected.

Now the interesting thing is, when I put the domain name in checkpagerank.net or seomastering.com to check for a fake pagerank, the pagerank for these domains always show as valid pagerank of 5. The domain pagerank also shows as valid on Freshdrop, Regitercompass, or expireddomains.net.

However, when I go to the domain address in Internet Explorer, the Google toolbar pageranl says the "Current page is not ranked by Google." So Google toolbar says the domain has no pagerank while all the other sites - checkpagerank.net, seomastering.com, Freshdrop, Registercompass, expireddomains.net - say it has a valid pagerank of 5.

Why is there a discrepancy?

If it has a PR5, at least it needs to have 5 PR4 pointing to it or 30 PR3 or 100 PR2. Just check it with AHRefs or OpenSiteExplorer and you will discover if this PR is fake or not.

SEOquake and also web rank will show you exact PR. Try them.

Hi all. Thanks for your responses. Here is another domain I found where the Google toolbar PR says "Current page is not ranked by Google" and SEOQuake says N/A. The domain is mnstories.com. However, checkpagerank.net and seomastering.com says it has a valid pagerank of 4.

Interestingly, mnstories.com has an excellent DA of 40 and the TF/CF is 20/22 which is really good. The backlink profile of this site is excellent and natural. This domain was recently sold for $585 on Go Daddy Auctions with multiple bidders going after it.

Did this domain simply lose all its Pagerank from Google? Or did Google temporarily set the pagerank for this domain to N/A but it will get its pagerank back when actual content appears on it again?

I'm asking this question because it seems like almost all the domains with a good backlink profile, good DA, and good TF/CF that are expiring on Go Daddy have this same phenomenon: PR shows valid in checkpagerank.net, seomastering.com, Freshdrop, Registercompass, expireddomains.net but shows as N/A in the actual Google toolbar and in SEOQuake.

Your toolbar says that PR is N/A because its checking the url not domain name

Code:
http://mnstories.com/?reqp=1&reqr=nzcdYz95oaO4qJ5anzWyrKRhpTW6

That url is PR N/A.

If you just copy the domain name mnstories.com in your address bar you will see for 1 or 2 seconds that is PR 5 before it gets redirected to that godaddy page.

1 year old and pr=5 , looks legit.

I had a pr4 website 3 months old. I was dumb enough to fucking spam it hard after I saw that because I thought that google wouldn't penalize it. ofc this was quite a while ago
