I scraped some expired Tumblrs using 'Expired Tumblr Hunter'. 2-3 of them were great, especially 1 which seems to have good metrics, so I registered them instantly.
Now how could I check if this domain is spam-free? This is my first time with expired web 2.0 scraping so I'm somewhat sceptical to use them for my money site. All the links are indexed on google and these are the metrics that I found in Moz for one of them. oie_4zsJYOxXIuQs.png oie_3pkogFvhzq8a.png

Rest of the referring domains are from Tumblr blogs itself.

What else do I need to check to confirm that these are spam-free and safe to use for my money site? Niche is Gaming.

Web2.0's act as a buffer and are really good to filter spam.
That is why many still used web2.0 as tier 1 and spammy links on tier 2.

Also, no one that spams their tumblr blog will delete their blog willingly. Same with niche related tumblrs. No IMer/SEOers will delete it's blog willingly.
That is the main reason why expired tumblrs won't be niche related in 99.99% of the time. The only exception are adult blogs, because of tumblr new rules and because most people that have/had adult tumblrs didn't do it for money.

I recommend you just filter out adult blogs (in case that is not your niche) and you are good to go.

Plus, you will know if your blog is any good if google indexes your new content or not. But, this may take weeks and weeks.

The blogs I scraped were indexed already and none of them were adult or NSFW. Majority of the tumblrs I scraped were related to gaming but I couldn't scrape enough.
Do you know any good expired tumblr or web 2.0 scraper?
    Yes??

    Hi there :)

A good way to check against Spam is using ahrefs + majestic. Using ahrefs you can see the old anchors, country links and so...It's a good way to check it.

I am using scrapebox (with a bunch of Google proxies) to find tumblr expired blogs.

PS: I can check for free your tumblr with my ahrefs account if you want.

HI i recently purchased aged tumblr accounts with an established backlink profile already, but cant seem to get the metrics to pop up on ahrefs?

There's no data for any of them?

Those blogs won't provide a lot of energy until in a big number or kind of schemes. You need to put high-quality articles there as well.

Done it, and saw no much of an effect. You have to find out what was the tumblr about, and use it for something related, other wise it's mostly "meh backlinks". Except if you find a really awesome tmblr, something with several 1000 organic backlinks. Then it can be freaking awesome.

Most genuine tumblrs that end up 'expired' were used for random content. And most content on tumblr is usually photos.

Niche related tumblrs are made by marketers, SEOers.
And they never delete their blogs willingly. So niche related tumblrs are mostly a myth.

But if logic doesn't cut it, here are some numbers.
Let's take "home decor" keyword and see how many pages are indexed in google.
    Code:
    site:.tumblr.com "home decor" -www.
    Result: 54.700

Now, even if you manage to scrape all of those , you will have many duplicate blogs.
But, even if all would be blog, you would be far away from getting a few decent blogs. Blog that would be somewhat niche related, with some backlinks and Expired. From my experience to get a few dozens of decent tumblrs, you will need 1 mill results so you end up with at least 100.000 unique blogs to check for expired tumblrs.
