Hello BHW friends,

please enligten me!

I want to buy an expired domain with DA 42, but in Ahrefs is shown that is has only 9 RD.

How can this be?
Is it tricky :)?

Thanks for helping me out!

DA is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz. It's always different in Moz and Ahrefs.

also a case of quality vs quantity, one or two authority domains linking to a website will have much more impact that 100s of crappy domains

Got it. Thanks for helping!

Just one more thing: how can I check if this domain is good for a redirect to my money site? I want to top up my money site's DA.

Thanks again for helping me out!!!

DA is Domain Authority, shows how strong a domain is but you should know that MOZ has the WORST crawler on the market. Don't rely on MOZ metrics. Ahrefs is much more reliable! If it's showing 9 RD's, I would skip it. Unless those links are really valuable.

And in SEOMoz how many RD?

May be all links are from authority sites. Quality links pass more authority.

The maximum of redirects to a website is 2 without getting a G penalty. Am I correct :)?

You should skip this for real,
unless the website has some really good links, it's worthless,
Moz metrics are not really something to rely on, many sellers use them for the sake of the easily manipulated fancy metrics
