Hi Can someone with Experience explain someting to me about redirect? please...

I am confused example

I purchased Domain b.com
my main domain is a.com

what do people usually do next and what is recommeded?

redirect the entire b.com and all urls to the a.com?

or only choose specific urls to redirect to a relevant page or article on my site? and also will it count the backlink that b.com got? example

b.com/article1 got a backlink from google.com just an example...
now should I redirect only the b.com/article1 to a.com and will I get the backlink from google?

Generally you would want to redirect to related pages. So if a.com/page is related to b.com/otherpage then you should redirect to the specific page. If the page is not related to anything on the new domain just redirect to homepage.

It's up to you. If you simply 301 redirect the entire B.com to A.com, it will pass the link juice and authority from B.com to A.com. Alternatively, if you identify relevant articles or pages on B.com that drive traffic, you can redirect those specific URLs to the corresponding URLs on A.com.

For the best results, ensure that B.com and its pages are relevant to A.com before redirecting.

If the domain is clean and the pages on the site b.com are relevant & ranking for suitable keywords you can redirect it to the specific pages. It will provide more value to your website.

If the pages are not relevant you can redirect the site b.com to a.com. It will help in passing link juice and authority to your homepage of the site a.com.

301 redirect, easy way. You can do from your domain provider, or yourself try with php.

One last question if someone can help with this, so basically If I buy an expired domain I am planning to redirect only relevant example I purchased b.com
Now I will only redirect b.com/article1 to a.com/article1
it is not easy to find a site that has all pages related to the a.com site would that be ok anyone has experience with this or done it in the past like this way?

Anyone? I badly need to know this and I am scared all I wanna do is example i Found a good site expired and I want to purchase it to redirect only the b.com/article1 to a.com/article1 which is related the rest I won't touch make sense?

Hi. It's ideal if you redirect specific pages from b.com to closely related pages on your a.com site.

For example, there was a b.com/contacts page and you redirected to a.com/contact-us

If other pages from b.com have no analog on your a.com, but b.com is close in theme in general, then you can redirect all other pages from b.com to the main page of your a.com.

For example, b.com/something -> a.com/

If b.com has specific pages with valuable backlinks like b.com/article1, you can set up individual redirects so that those pages go to relevant pages on a.com. This helps preserve the value of those backlinks. When you redirect b.com/article1 to a.com, the backlinks to that article usually pass some value to the new page on a.com. It’s a good way to keep the benefits of the backlinks.

Someone help me pls.
you should redirect most (if not all) of the pages that have decent links,
redirect as many to the relevant (same topic/keywords) pages of your website and make new pages for the rest,
even tho you're not targetting any of the topics from the rest of these pages, you can use internal links to pass the juice to other pages & the website,

if the expired domain got too many pages overall, too many irrelevant pages, bad links, not clean, etc...
you simply shouldn't buy such domain, or probably just use it as PBN website instead
