I bought an expired domain but its not getting indexed since 2 days, do you know why?
I submitted it to google , normally it indexes sites within 2 hours but here nothing happened.
I also added a tweet on twitter. Is the domain sandboxxed? Domain has TF21 CF 23

Unfortunately, if the domain was previously de-indexed due to some reason( some will have an absolute clean history ) , they will never get back to Google's index. That's how it works, from what I have tested. Wait for a week or so and if it still doesn't index, forget it and find a new one.

Has a penalty 99% of the time the site wont index after submitting it.

Add it go GWT if you have some extra gmail accounts.

If you've done a thorough check and are convinced the site is clean and spam-free, I would still try to index it like this:

1.- Install Wordpress and the Google XML Sitemap for Videos Plugin

2.- Remove the Hello World post, create a new post and embed a Youtube video in the post

3.- Create a video sitemap with the plugin. After clicking on "Generate Video Sitemap" it will tell you that the video sitemap was created successfully, and give you the option to “ping Google”. Do it. You'll be taken to a standard HTML page from Google that basically says they've received your sitemap and they'll have a look for it.

4.- Wait 24 hours and then go to Google and type in: site:YourExpiredDomain.com If the site is not showing, it was probably penalized. Sorry.

I read about this here: https://www.pbnhq.com/quickly-index-expired-domains/

    You have got it wrong!

Not all pbns get indexed within 2 hours, some take longer. If you have just added some crappy spun content it may take forever.

Try uploading 2-3 HQ articles and add some social signals to it.

If it didn't get indexed after submitting, then it has a manual penalty. Feel free to share it here, considering it's useless now and I can tell you what's wrong with it exactly. Or if you are afraid to share it, in case it's not hopeless, feel free to send it over to me via PM and I will tell you straight away :)

Did you add it to webmaster tools and check the message?
    There could be manual actions.

This happened to me before, I bought an expired domain and later found it to have "manual action" due to "pure spam".
So I posted some quality content on the domain, send a message to google for reconsideration, and they removed that "manual action" status from my site.

And now this site ranks on page 1 for a few keywords.
I dunno why many people talk like a manual action is the end of the world, becos it came back to life for me.

Theres a loophole for that really if its a really bigtime domain that was spammed to death.. You can disavow its BL and explain why. :)

The thing is(paranoid inserted) youll be tracked along the way due to large spam links that the domain has before and you disavow them..

Well its just a thought :) i tried it and it worked.. I found an expired domain from scraping wiki and Huffington and got the domain registered and there was a backlink that was hidden throughout any backlinks crawlers and history was clean.. So i waited over 3 weeks domain was still unindexed so i tried the xml video thingy. Still didn't get indexed so i tried to reg it in a pva gmail webmaster and found out that theres a manual penalty spam signal or notifications.. So i disavowed the spammy links using link research tools.. Found over 100+ spammy links that was sape and was hidden via crawlers. Then i just submitted the disavowed file and explain as if i did not know about it and mentioned i was the son of the website owner that who died a year ago lol! And i inherited the business.

And i waited around 4 days it got indexed.. Well i did not make it a pbn since it will be surely get kick off.. So i turned it to a Woocommerce site

Fyi it will or maybe different from other site or peoples approach but this was my remedy back then

OP sent me the domain via PM. There was a blatantly obvious Cloudflare hosting from january 2016 to january 2017 and archive.org was unable to record any historical data. Just "not found" as it's always common with Cloudflare.

Easily avoidable mistake for whoever did the domain check. And yes, after inspecting GWT, domain is indeed penalized.

I would first contact the seller and try to resolve the issue that way btw. My 2 cents.
