    Hey guys,

I'm building an authority site for adsense and have found a decent expired domain which was previously used by a software developer. The domain and anchor texts are spam free and its getting indexed too.

This domain has good backlinks to inner pages from other authority tech sites. What I've done so far is,

    - Re-built pages (which have backlinks) from archive. Did a 301 redirect from old page to the new page.
    For example: domain.com/car.htm ---->301-----> domain.com/car/

    - Posted around 25,000 words of content in the form of blog posts and they have been getting indexed too.

    My queries:
    - Is my 301 redirect strategy good enough? Am I missing something?

    - Its been 3 weeks since I started the site and so far I have posted around 24 articles. While they are getting indexed, I'm having trouble getting them indexed.
I mean when I search for the full blog post title, I can't find my site even in the top 100 in Googl. The webmaster tools doesn't show any penalties. All I'm doing is posting content and then sharing it on fb and G+.

Do not only focus on this 301 if you want to rank.
Perform a seo strategy as usual.

301 wont make your rank N°1. It would be too easy ;)

I understand that. One thing thats bugging me is that I'm not even ranking in for the entire unique titles of my posts. Just searched a few and only around 3-4 of them are in the 80-100 range in Goog results. Rest are not in the top 100 results.

Is it something I should be worried about???

I wouldn't be too worried but do be aware that 301ing is not a sure fire way to get ranks these days, you can benefit from existing traffic that the 301'd domain is currently receiving but it doesn't seem to pass on the ranking benefit that it used to.

You could give it some more time but if it were me I wouldn't be losing any sleep over it.

Onsite is good and at present there are just categories in navigation + blog posts (around 27) + few pages (from archive which have backlinks). Homepage just shows blogposts and nav menu.

WMT says "no manual webspam actions fnd" and no messages about penalties or anything negative.
WMT shows around 350 links - all from good sources with tf 25+ with niche related anchors.

New posts are getting indexed within 48 hours.
This is how the search analytics looks like

Its been one month since I've created the site and have been adding content and sharing on social media. WMT shows 43 related queries.

But the issue is that the site is not showing up in top 100 even for the unique post titles. A few show up at positions 80+. Site name "brand" is at around 35-40th spot.

Am I being paranoid? Does everything look good???

If you want me to look at your site, drop me a PM. A lot of onsite factors such as H1 and Hn, internal linking, siloing structure are often not taken well into consideration.

Did you started creating new backlinks on it ?

You can rank sometimes with just content and very good on page, for easy keywords.
The off page is what can possibly cause a dance, but as you've done little, I'm guessing it's quite a competetive keyword you're after.
Give it a little more time and keep checking the results.
