Just trying to get a general consensus here. How effective have people's newly built PBN sites been since the latest update?

I'm looking for information on sites that have been built on expired domains specifically. I've added 6 new sites to my network since the latest penguin update, using the DA/PA/TF/CF as well as manual assessment of back-link profiles (from good sources) that I've always used. What I'm noticing is that these new sites aren't proving effective, or are having very little effect on money site rankings whereas previous PBN sites matching this criteria are doing just fine.

I hope I'm on to nothing here.

Have you tried the same thing with a fresh domain to compare?

The last penguin update was only a couple of weeks ago. There have been plenty of threads on here lately saying Google are taking longer to give credit to new links gained by your site.

Some say that the links don't even show up in GWT until a few weeks later, while there is also the "30 day hold" experienced by others, where it seems that it can take up to 30 days for the effects of the link building to be felt.

Combine that with the fact that they mightn't have crawled all the links that are pointing to your PBN sites yet, and you can see that you're probably getting worried about nothing since it's too early to tell.

It may well be a result of a delay algorithm of some sort, that would be best case scenario. I don't believe it's a '30 day sandbox' issue though as that's relevant to ranking times getting beyond a certain page rather than links having no effects at all. With regards to webmasters, I've always noticed a link showing up delay, that's never had a bearing on link effectiveness time in my experience.

The sites have definitely been crawled and indexed and the links explored as internal pages linked to from the homepage have also been indexed. I would be interested to hear from anyone who has built similar sites in the past 2-3 weeks.

I have no data on this beyond my own observations of linking from previously expired domains.

You have all of your SEO metrics in place that's for sure. PBN links are working fine for me but I link to true private blog networks and not junk where they sell out links to people since that is not truly private and only last for a period of time.

They're pretty effective, if they have links are from decent sources.

I recently got some from accelerator_dd for a small PBN for personal use, worked pretty well :)

Did you host each site on a separate IP? If yes, then there's not much you can do. I build links from powerful sites sometimes and see no ranking improvement from the backlinks - and when I use the word 'powerful', I mean sites with 50+ Trust Flow and 40+ Citation Flow values.

It's really taking longer for Google to credit sites with new backlinks they receive. You just have to wait.
