expert bans help needed

I downloaded bans from here and am having trouble. I can get up to build a niche store admin area but when I try to log in I get these errors.

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/moparcar/public_html/cont/Mysql.php on line 146

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/moparcar/public_html/cont/Mysql.php on line 107

Warning: mysql_free_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/moparcar/public_html/cont/Mysql.php on line 114

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/moparcar/public_html/cont/Mysql.php on line 146

I am wondering if it has to do with the update to the 2.0 version of bans as I used the 1.3 version. If so when do I do the update? before I upload the files or after and just replace the file when asked?

I am toying around with BANS and I am getting the same error. I msg'd the op and he was kind enough to reply but he is not sure what had been done.

Anyone else have any suggestions?
