I've never done email marketing before via Aweber or any other service of that nature so I'm in need of advice on what to do.

For the last 3-4 months I've had a consistent stream of weight loss niche traffic hitting my landing page. The landing is just a custom page that informs the users about the CPA product.

Along with the consistent traffic, I've been getting consistent conversions on the CPA offer as well. Running the traffic to the landing page, and then to the CPA offer has worked well for me, but now I wonder if it would be better to capitalize on the traffic by having them join my list first.

My source of traffic is FB traffic, although the source has been good for a few months, FB could theoretically implement some changes that would cause it to dry up. That is why I think it might be more beneficial for me to collect the email address first so that even if the traffic source goes away, I'll still be able to market the product and related products to the subscribers.

If I do decide to collect email address, should I send the traffic to a squeeze page first, and then after they convert on that, redirect them to a CPA offer?

    OR

Should I just capture their email and not redirect them to a CPA offer, and instead email them the CPA offer via Aweber after I have a few 100 emails?

Thanks for any insight into this.

I've been building my own list also (via YT) and here's a few things I learned so far.

    • Make it crystal clear what they'll get for signing up to your list & deliver on that (if it's a CPA offer then make that 1st follow-up email promoting that offer)
    • Have a follow-up email plan setup for at least a couple months worth.
    • Beauty of an email list is the automation, sprinkle different offers into your follow-up email.
    • You should have more "informational" emails than "offer" emails in your follow-up.

The key is really in planning your follow-up email...this is where I fucked-up with my list, I was sending them random shit and an offer here and there...people started to unsubscribed from my list.

I sent an email blast to my list asking them how often they want me to email them and what type of things they want to learn or discounts to get. The response was enough for me to create a more targeted follow-up email plan.

Now I have a better understanding of what my list want and they are actually sticking around and completing most of the offers I throw at them.

Well that's my experience with marketing to a list so far but definitely build a list!

    Do both.

Send them to your sqeezepage and offer a freebie

    Example : ``Enter your email for a free gift``

Then after they submit the email direct it to the CPA offer with maybe a content locker etc.

Why do one when you can do both is the message I have.

I just started about this program and they paid my 1st month commission. You can earn $1 to $2 per email submit and it automatically puts them on your lists. The software is called aax.

i no expert but like some suggested, do both. But before that you can have 2 differet split test pages, one will be your existing landing page, the other will b doing both email n cpa landing page.

100% do both. I would do the squeeze page, and then on the Thank You page put the CPA offer or a redirect after they enter their email.

Do both, look into ghost cpa, you are able to capture the emails of the user as well as completing the cpa offer.
