    Hi,

I hired someone on another forum to develop a Ubot project. The .exe bot works fine, but it crashes after a couple hours, so I need someone to take a look at it and fix it. Feel free to PM to get more details.

    Thanks

Ubot and Zennoposter do crash after a couple of hours, that's their nature. Probably too much memory used. I am not a Ubot fan, and you might need to have it remade.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I'm PM them. Also, I'm willing to pay, since the original coder went missing... no responses to my emails or Skype chats :-/

About the memory issue, I don't think that's what causing the crashes, but I will look into it. Thanks.

    is it browser or http/socket?

If its Http/socket then your issue is likely not memory related using http ubot bots now run incredibly well and most of the historical issues with ubot disappear(for the most part with the use of a few other plugins).

If its browser, when it crashes is there a browser.exe alert. You could try the free memory plugins but if you multithreading a lot of threads on browsers this sometimes cant be avoided.

PM me I can guide you through checking a few issues but sorry don't have time to rewrite any code.

If you only have the .exe you will not be able to open it and modify the code using ubot. You need the actual .ubot script file to fix the code.

I have the .ubot file :)

Well, that's not what I'm looking for, since it would take you longer. My budget is almost gone and can't afford to pay for a new bot :-(

    Thanks, though!

There are a lot of problems lately with Ubot crashing due to 'changes' in the code and no-one actually knowing what happens when you compile bots (its all on Ubot servers) and the browser.exe crashes are popping up all over the place lately. I have a bot that been working since mid / late last year with no problems. I have made no changes but in the last 2 weeks its been having browser.exe problems. Go figure.

This is supposed to be fixed in another great update to 5.5 that is penciled in for 'some time, no ETA' so don't hold your breath.

I did submit a shit list thread for Ubot a few days ago but I guess it didn't hit the right points for posting as it hasn't appeared.

Ubot is not on my Christmas card list with its lack lustre approach to customers (oh they love the new guys, ooo the smell of that cash!), their 'support' that doesn't answer questions as much as run round them and so on.

    /rant over, leaving now!!

I do have the same feeling about Ubot, si I completely understand you. I have to throw away the $400 I spent on a bot... Got another coder who's doing the same in AutoIT. Let's see...

Really need to know what "version of ubot" your script was made with
If it was 4.20 it should be stable, if its version 5 plus bin it and move on
If it's bowser based and multi-threading its more then likely not clearing the browser cache, this would not be a quick fix, more lightly a complete rebuild,
