First, sorry if this is in the wrong place. Okay, so I'm bidding on expired domains with good traffic for my next project. One of the auctions I bid on has gone up CRAZY high, and I just can't figure it out. It's this one:

    https://auctions.godaddy.com/trpItemListing.aspx?miid=137178210

    sundayplus.com

Would you buy it for just over $400, as it sits now, or $500+ for it, which it will probably end at? I know it's still got some google traffic, but god damn...I just can't justify the price. Is it:

A.) Link juice. Maybe somebody REALLY wants it for their PBN?
B.) Resellers. I can't imagine anyone would pay more than $500 for it...maybe a sucker on flippa.
C.) The domain owner themself bidding up the price.

Is there something I'm missing? Is this domain really worth that much?

That's what I'm wondering...why bid the price so high? It happens with every auction I bid on. Somebody bids the price far beyond reasonable levels. At least I know I'm picking winners, lol

Here's a few reasons why the price is so high

    1. Number of linking root domains is 139

    2. Links are not spammy

    3. PR 4

    4. First registered in 2001

    5. Non-dropped

$400 is a no brainer for a domain like this. I'm actually surprised the DA isn't higher

    Thanks...if they're using it for a blog network though, 10 blogs x $400 each = $4000. That's one really expensive network!

Yep, history looks good and the name seems it could be useful/brandable for a number of projects
