Hi I'm relatively new to this, and i spent a lot of time to try and find the right domains to 301 to my site (my understanding of that being high domain authority, old site, established link network) and then to my horror, i discover how much of a noob i am and realize that the dropped domains i'd spent so much time looking at, would of course lose their domain age once i register them.

Would these still work as good as aged domains, purely because the backlinks are still aged?

If not, If anyone can suggest a way to find high domain authority 'expired' links instead that'd be very helpful, and would move me one more step up the ladder out of noobsville. thank you

For me personally i had a mixture i had a couple of dropped domains a pr 5 with not to many links and a couple of year old domains which i had done the backlinks on myself . The mixture worked well for me and still is and i am still ranking no 2 on my main keyword ( medium keyword) and banking daily with it over the last 2 and half months. Google had pulled my site out the results 2 weeks ago it was out and in and then back to position 2 where it has always been. I think the link profile if it's good will work well. Why not go buy another aged one and point them all , that's what i would do anyway!
