I've been studying this forum up and down for a while now and I'm thinking to finally take the leap to start this. I just want to clear up some things for myself to not get my expectations too far ahead of realistic outcomes.

    A little about me:
    17 Years old
    Live in UK
    Attending 6th form year 12
Without trying to sound big headed I'm probably more intelligent than most people my age so hopefully that will help me with online marketing. Going to do dentistry in university so want an income to support me (come from poor family).
    Willing to work long hours

With this basic info (I know it's not much to go on), I am hoping you guys can help me decide if internet marketing is worth it for me (seems like it, but would like some opinions).

I currently play online games to make money and I can make about 20-200$/day if I spend many hours gambling. Very stressful and frustrating. I am wondering if I could match this income (say about 50$/day average) after half a year to a year. This would be with a few hours every single day with periods of spending more time.

Also, for my goal of long term money should I be 100% white hat? If not what aspects of black hat should I incorporate, as in everything or just buying back links off fiver or is that even too risky?

What I am mainly planning at the moment so far is just niche websites and making numerous ones. I'd probably be writing at least an article a day up to about 3. If it matters my English can be up to a good standard probably for an article better than this.

Sorry about babbling on so much and I hope this isn't too annoying but I just want to know what I can expect after half a year/1 year/2 years.

Yes, I'm sure you could reach your goal.
You know why? Even though you said it, you seem like a smart kid.
You aren't one of those lazy fools on here that want everything handed to them. You've spent time reading and researching, rather than signing up and asking, "How can I make money?".

It's always good to start out in white hat, and learn the techniques and proper SEO. Then use BH as a boost.

Whatever type of gambling it is, you might want to look into that niche for a website. There are probably hundreds of people here that would be happy making even $5 per day.

building a new site preferably a tech site is a good option along with daily 6 to 8 posts per day.

if you got traffic enough within months as it depends on the quality and originality of the content along with strong seo stuff..
you will be good to go...

You must choose the right path - I cant tell you which it is.

The easiest way to make money online is selling advice on how to do it in courses etc. But you wont have the knowledge yet.

Personally - I would get a job flipping burgers and do your uni. and thats WITH 14 years in this game.

    :/

Thanks for the advice really appreciate it:). Will be working hard soon after everything settles down for me with current school load so won't be too long before I start.

Thank for advice as well. No point for e to flip burgers though as I've made up to 1500$ in one day gambling heh. But you win some, lose a lot as well so I only made a few grand casually doing it (once every while for a few months).

P.S. this gambling isn't poker it's gambling on an online game and selling currency which is sorta sketchy lol. + It is unbelievably stressful when you lose big amounts, makes you feel depressed.

Find something that takes pretty much no effort for you, or takes only a few minutes for you to setup/put together, and list that on Fiverr.com.
You will only earn ~£2.50 for each sale, but if that takes you virtually no effort, then that's an easy £2.50 to earn.

I started this a month ago and have earned almost £100, which (while it isn't alot) only took me less than half an hour in total.

As for your sites, if you can find one that you can expand, then expand it as much as possible - Go from a Niche site into an authority site and you will earn alot more if the competition isn't too strong.
Keep to white hat strategies for the sites and their backlinks, then use black hat tactics on the backlinks to your first level backlinks, which is a pretty well known solid tactic.

I hope sixth form is going well for you, ours was rubbish and out of the 60 students that started year 12, only 7 stopped on to year 13, because the teachers still treated us like kids and didn't take the time to properly teach us - Thus almost everyone left for college and did a hell of alot better.

If you see yourself as a smart kid then, yes.
I just founded my own business and I am only 16 years old.
Just believe in your success and work hard for it. :)

I've found it's always better to build sites on whatever you're passionate about. In your case, if it's online gaming and there is a demand for a niche within this and you can monetize it, go for it.

While you're building your niche sites, I'd suggest offering a quality English article writing service. Your English seems pretty good, and there is a shortage of quality English writers. This could be another income stream while you get established in Internet Marketing.

    hey buddy,

you can definitely make good money online as long as you stay laser focused on your goals. You see, you can learn all you want about SEO on the forums, but you learn SO MUCH MORE when you actually start implementing it. Everything starts to fall together and while you may not make money in the beginning, the longer you keep at it, the more likely it'll happen!

Which path you take ultimately depends on what your budget is. For example, if you want to create your own product, think of some kind of informational product that you can offer, like an ebook on exercise or making money. If you go that route, def learn how to write a great sales copy and create an effective landing page.

    The options are unlimited online!

    Best of luck!

Believe in yourself, learn white-hat SEO methods and supplement them with black hat. Always try to keep learning new things as well as thinking outside of the box.
