hey guys, Wasn't sure where to post this, so figured this was the best place. I'm having some difficulties with an excel spreadsheet I've been working on. I have Column A currently frozen, and a lot of columns of data as you scroll horizontally (with column A being frozen as you scroll).. I labeled all of the 1st cells in each column with a category, and I was wondering if there was any way to take these categories, and put them in a sorted list/filter somehow that will let me basically click on the word "Category" (Or some other solution works also! I don't have to click that word, can be a new cell or something), and have a drop down that then lets me choose which "Category" I want based on the info in the 1st cells. Here's an image: the top section is what I have currently, the bottom section is what I'm trying to go for. I want to be able to click the word category (or another cell somewhere) and be able to sort all of the columns based on the 1st cell's chosen topic. I also want all of the data from those sorted columns to populate; not just the category name. Please let me know if none of this makes sense - I did my best to explain it!
