So I have 3 keywords which I want to rank. I read that exact match ratio should be around 1-3% let's say it is 2%. So if I have 1000 backlinks then I should have 2% one keyword, 2% second keyword and 2% third keyword or just 2% of these 1000 links so 20 of them should be exact match or 60?

dont use exact match. you will benefit most from exact match only if you have very strong domain somewhere that has a lot of link juice, authority and relevancy. In such case you can use exact match.

for example if you make 1000 webs then theres absolutely no point in using exact match because they all have 0 power

I mean I probably use expired web 2.0s for link juice because my keywords don't need PBNs - they are really low competition. But I am afraid that I over-optimised my keyword ratio so that's why I am asking.

I just managed to get to the front page for a keyword from a single web 2.0. I made the link 3 weeks ago, at about position 35-40, now i'm 9, which is the best its been.
I used exact match for the keyword, and this was the first link to that particular page. So results must vary for people.

I mixed up with generic, full urls etc. Serps are quite well, varying from 4-10 position so it isn't problem but I just want to know ;p
I also think that even new web 2.0s can really help you in ranking but only for low competition keywords - but that doesn't mean that they are useless (ofc expired are better).

Use less exact mactch keywords! I Will suggest you to use 1% of exact match anchors! Also you this percengtage level should be less if you are having more links

    For example:

If you have 100 links you can have 1 exact match anchors! That's not an issue
But If you have 1000 links and you are using 10 exact match anchors! Then it will be risky
ANd you have 5000 links and you are using 50 exact match anchors! Your site will be caught by penguin for sure!

I will recomend you to use exact match anchors as low as possible! For 1000 links you can have 3 anchors! That may be 1 first keyword 1 second keyword and 1 third keyword

Please keep in mind: Less exact match anchors you use, more powerful your site will becomes.:)

I mean that you should keep your exact match anchors at zero because you might need stronger links than webs 2.0. And this is where you could make use of exact match.

Otherwise you will use exact match on normal backlinks like webs 2.0 but you wont rank - then you will head for stronger links and if you use exact match you will be overoptimized

If you are trying to rank new site, don't use any exact match for the first 3 months at all. Go with brand/URL first few months and then adjust your ratio. It's better to do it that way than screwing it and then trying to fix it.

Check your competitors anchor densities using tools like majestic and copy the highest rated ones asside from that would agree with nargil to avoid exact match for a while. Though the first 3 months I would do 1 exact match just because im impatient and will risk it.

It has more to do with probably base, if a term is searched 9,999 times per month, you can repeat that term a few times in your anchor text profile let's say 3 or 4 times out of 100 links(to be safe), If a term is searched 50 times per month then I wouldn't repeat it in my anchor profile, 1x is enough, this is why some people can't rank long tail keywords because they keep repeating the same LTK in the (title, inner URL, page, and multiple times in their anchor profile), this is why local niches are anchor text sensitive, most local searches won't surpass 100 searches per month, also if you are going to repeat the same term never copy and paste multiple times, change the overall look of the keyword:

    Blue Shoes
    blue shoes:
    shoes Blue
    BLUE SHOES

    Hope it helps.

and if your onpage % is to high, you get the nice +50 or +100 penalties :)
