Hi,

Just a quick question, I have searched the forums (and other forums) and could not find an answer so that's why i'm posting here to get your opinions.

I was wondering which would be easier to rank an exact match of my keyword on a .co or .cc domain or putting 'buy' at the front of my keyword and buying a .com domain. BTW i'm targeting worldwide ideally but mainly Google US.

For example buykeyword.com

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Niall

In my opinion, from my experience: the domain doesn't make to much of a difference, especially if you are choosing between .(co) or .(cc)!

If you was to say between . c*m or .(cc) then i would definitely say go for the . c*m, but if you play your cards right and feed the site quality content and good SEO, the domain doesnt make much difference to me.

P.S I can't even post domains now, but you know what i mean :p

Great thank you very much for the reply, exactly what I was looking for :)

Personally, I would go with .com or .net, .com being preferable. Also, be sure that you put your keyword at the front of your URL not at the rear. It stops any confusion with the search engines, as to what your site is about, especially if you are using a long tail keyword.

Of course this is just my thoughts and experiences.

go with the .com and add something infront or after the keyword.
