I looked up a keyword on the Google Keyword Tool and it had 360k local searches and 500k total. Let's say it was 'potatoes in idaho.' I then checked the domain and the exact match domain was available.
You would think that nearly everything on this search would be local so that confused me. Then I realized that this was also a common kind of potato so my question is would the keyword tool include results if someone searched 'idaho potatoes in europe'? My market would be specific to the location so for this example I would sell banner ads to potato sellers in idaho.
I was thinking based on the specific search that all of my visitors would actually be in Idaho and looking for potatoes so this makes me question the value of my future site's visitors.
